5 Easy Post-Workout Meal

Working out is exhausting especially for beginners. You consume a lot of energy when doing your sets, lifting weights and working out in general. However, there is nothing more important than having a perfectly fit body. Someone who exercises and eats healthy is worth admiring than a junkie who eats unhealthy foods, sits on the couch all the time watching Netflix, and lazing around. Research shows that people who actively engage in physical activities want their bodies to look quite younger than those whose routine is just eat-watch/work-sleep-repeat. So start now. Get a membership from your local gym and start building those muscles. Start small and with time, you will get used to it, and working out will surely be fun going forward.

I work out every evening after work and believe me, I tend to eat a lot when I get home. I really don’t know where all this appetite comes from, so I have to be careful as well on what I eat. I eat
foods rich in carbohydrates and proteins so as to make up for the used up energy and also helps in muscle growth. One doesn’t have to invest expensively on this. You only need to make simple meals that may require up to 6 ingredients, and you are good to go. You only require 30 grams of proteins and 35 grams of carbohydrate after you have worked out.

* 1. GREEK YOGHURT WITH CEREAL

Greek yogurt is famously known for having twice as much protein that the usual yogurt. It also contains carbohydrates. You don’t require any recipe to make this meal. All you need is goo to the supermarket and buy them. Taking this right after the gym in the morning will ensure that you have enough energy to push you through the day, and if you are working, then be sure to have a productive day.

* 2. PROTEIN PANCAKES

Protein pancakes offer a lot of proteins and carbohydrates. Its proteins are mean and slow to digest so your body will also have the necessary amount of amino acids that you will need throughout the day. This meal is also simple to make actually. The ingredients include 4 albumen parts of an egg, half a cup of oats, half a cup of cheese, a pinch of baking powder, and half a teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. You can also add fresh berries on top.

If you happen to be big bodied, chances are you are a person of huge appetites. This meal is recommended for you. If you are low on calories and carbohydrates, this meal could be the best option. It offers the necessary protein to maintain a lean muscle. Egg scramble is pretty easy to make you only beat four eggs and add two albumens. Add a cup or two of freshly cut greens. In case you need an extra protein, bacon is the best to add but not much. Adding one fresh fruit as well might help your body with carbohydrates.

* 5. WHOLEGRAIN CEREAL

You can eat cereal anytime of the day. It is the number one recommended breakfast meal in America. It is rich in high protein, carbohydrates, and fiber. Adding milk or yogurt makes it even tastier
and also offers increased protein and carbohydrates. It is simple to prepare and greatly offers satisfaction after a workout.
