What you should do before your teach yourself how to perfect your imperfect nose is to identify your nose shape from among the total of 7 nose shapes. Your nose could be too bulbous or too thin, or it could be flat or slanted. It shouldn’t be that difficult to identify your nose shape. So, here are your guide to HOW TO CONTOUR THE 7 NOSE SHAPES.

1) If your nose is too narrow for your liking, you could always contour it a shade of higher that suits your skin tone. _Narrow noses_ are a bit of a challenge to correct, but, there is always a
solution to all troubles. You could give the impression that your nose is wider than it actually is by drawing two straight lines with a highlighter on both sides of the nose bridge, all the way down from the eyebrows to the underside of the tip of the nose.

2) If you have a _flat nose,_ it could be easily corrected by doing the same thing that a narrow-nosed person would do, but with a darker shade. Light shades/ highlighters bring out or enhance the prominence of the part or feature. If you are flat-nosed, it exactly what you shouldn’t do. What you have to do is to find the perfect dark shade and draw it in a straight line on either side of your nose bridge. By doing that, you reduce the emphasis falling on the wider areas of the nose.

3) Another nose shape that could mess with your goal to killer looks is a bulbous nose. You have a bulbous nose if the bridge of the nose is thinner, and the nostrils are wider and seemingly globular and rounded. You need to pay attention to the top and center and the bottom of your nose while you try to correct this. This method requires both contouring and highlighting. First, you have to contour both the sides of the bridge of the nose from the top (from the eyebrows) to the bottom with dark shades and then contrast it by horizontally highlighting the center of the nose-bridge. This way, you deficits-emphasize the bulbous end which makes it seem slimmer and emphasize the narrow bridge which makes it seem wider.

4) If your nostrils are too wide in relation to the top of the nose, then you have what is called a triangular nose. The problem with the triangular nose is the lack of balance between the top and the bottom. You can compensate for this by contouring the tips of the nose with a darker shade to make them look thinner and shapely while simultaneously trying to emphasize the top of your nose by the inner corners of the eyebrows using a highlighter.

5) Being crooked is tough. Having a crooked nose is a figurative nightmare when it comes to perfect looks. It could be a birth defect or the result of a nasty fall or a bad accident. Whatever the cause, the result is this flaw. But, this is but a minor issue when you have a contouring kit with you! Crooked noses are characterized by their slightly slanted nature. To correct the slant, you have you highlight the bridge of the nose and only the bridge, not from top to bottom. With a dark shade, emphasize the sides of the nose-bridge by drawing two straight lines by either side of the bridge and then complete the look by applying highlighter in the middle, i.e., vertically on the center of the nose bridge.

6) Like the crooked noses, _irregular noses_ also tend to have a slant at the center to either side of the nose-bridge. You could correct this by using a highlighter. Applying highlighter on the
indentation reduces the play of any unwelcome shadows that emphasize the slant.

7) Finally, to fight the play of overbearingly strong eyebrows, which cast shade over the nose-bridge making you the owner of a heavy nose you could use a suitable highlighter between the yebrows in the shape of a triangle. This trick would throw light over the area which is otherwise subsided by the strong brows.

Now, you found your nose shape and also learned HOW TO CONTOUR THE 7 NOSE SHAPES. Yes, you learned it all. There is nothing stopping you from getting the flawless look that you seek. You no longer have the excuse of having a slightly flawed nose. When you have got the tools, products, and skills to contour, there is no limit to your glamor.
