Who Else Wants to Travel Without Aches and Pain?

Spending time on travels makes life more interesting and adventurous. Discovering new cultures and seeing wonderful sites while working breaks boundaries of how you see the world around you. Traveling releases you from your ordinary life. However, while you are enjoying travels, you can’t help but feel tired especially when you are having bumpy rides and experiencing some body pains.

Here are some tips that can help you avoid strains while traveling. Of course you would want to spend more time on happy hours while traveling than feeling strains in your body right?

How to fight strains from staying still:

1. Move from side to side. When you spend a lot of time sitting especially when traveling, you can’t avoid straining your body especially your neck, legs and back. You can try moving from side to side so your blood can still flow. You can also go to the bathroom if you’re on a plane or stand up once in a while.

2. Buy feet and back supporter. Lumbar pillows help a lot while traveling. If you don’t have one, you can make use of rolled blankets or clothes. Place it behind your lower back body part to relax your straining spine. This will also help in relaxing your feet if you can have the leisure in elevating them somewhere.

3. Do small stretches. If you are traveling in a smaller space, you can still do some light stretching. Try ankle and wrist rolling. You can also do shoulder stretching by pulling it backwards. Move your head from side to side and slightly pull your knees upwards.

Manage Travel Stress:

1. Always spare an extra hour for travels. To avoid stress and getting anxious in catching flights, spare at least an hour prior to your travel time so your mind won’t keep on thinking.

2. Travel light. This is always the rule in traveling. Packing light will help you avoid lifting heavy luggage and let you move more while traveling.

3. Travels always come up with delayed flights and unexpected events. Relax and look at the bright side. This is the part where it becomes an experience and learning.

4. Disconnect from work. If your purpose is to experience the travel and leave stress behind, then let go of your work for a while. Don’t be concern with your deadlines yet and focus on your once in a while experience.

Keeping the Workout While Traveling:

1. Walk it out. If you are getting bored and stressed out with client meeting and seminars, then spend time for a night walk. This will help your body relax and stimulate proper blood flow so you can have a good night sleep.

2. Bring your workout stuffs. Traveling doesn’t mean you can’t be fit. Save exercise programs on your devices or bring your yoga mat and jump ropes. This will keep your workout routine on track while traveling.

3. Look for other gyms. You can search in advance for gyms around the area of your destination or you can look at the hotel facilities where you are staying. Ask how you can avail temporary classes while you are on a trip.

More Travel Tips:

1. Lift your things carefully. While traveling you may find yourself alone and having to lift things yourself. Do this carefully by supporting yourself with proper lifting positions to avoid straining your back.

2. Balance your luggage weight. If you have to travel with lots of things, try weighing them with same weight so you won’t have to carry things unevenly.

3. Don’t take strain and pain for granted. Always apply first aid or relaxation when strain and pains attack. Not minding them will make it worst in the long run and may keep you from enjoying your travel time.

You don’t need to travel privately or luxuriously to have a more comfortable travel. You can apply simple travel habits to help you get through travel stress and still enjoy your experience without spending too much.
